They have to be magical and otherworldly to survive racist abuse

Bukayo Saka, 19 year-old Unicorn

On a school ski trip to #Austria my headmaster said to me, “Just because a #dog is born in a barn does not make it a #horse.”

I have learned over the years that dogs 🐕‍🦺 are just as valuable as horses 🐎 and that it doesn’t matter where you are born.

I also realised that I wasn’t a dog but a #unicorn🦄. In order to thrive in a stable of horses, I had to be so much more! l was a wonderous mythical beast.

As are the #Black boys and young men playing football ⚽️ for #England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. This diverse team took us further in competition than any other in more than 50 years.

They are not N-words, monkeys, C-words, or dogs and should not be threatened with death or their mothers or partners/wives threatened with sexual violence.

#MarcusRashford, #JadonSancho and #BukayoSaka missed penalties in the 3–2 shootout loss to #Italy in Sunday’s #Euro2020.

See them as they are — UNICORNS.
